Two nomadic hearts, traveling the American West in a custom built Sprinter van

Why live in a van?

There are so many reasons. But for us, for starters, living in a van means leaving less of a footprint. It means having more consideration for your belongings, more motivation to get outside and the means to keep moving. Constantly moving.

But what else motivates us?

  1. We'll have everything we need. Always.
We'll just reach over and grab it. We'll never have to drive back to the house to get it. Because we'll always be home.
  2. We'll be living in the home we built: together.
It's an artist's dream, and we can't wait to be living in the home that we both created.
  3. We'll get to know the American West.
We'll get a chance to pretty thoroughly explore some of the most beautiful places on the Western side of the North American continent.
  4. We'll abandon what's comfortable.
We'll put ourselves in an uncomfortable situation, learning more about what it really means to compromise, problem solve, and gain more appreciation for what we grew up with.
  5. We'll do what we want, whenever we want to.
We'll kick long-term planning to the curb. We won't ask ourselves "When are we going to be able to go there?" We'll just go.

We want to share as much as we can with you! Which is why we're working on more detailed posts about our buildout so that, if you're interested, you can convert dreams into reality too.

We'll be letting you know soon about what's live once we're done writing!
